metalweb lands quality re-accreditation

metalweb colleagues are pleased with re-affirmation of good working practices after securing re-accreditation to the AS9100 (Rev.C) standard.

AS9100 (Rev C) is a widely adopted and standardised quality management system for the aerospace industry. To be awarded re-accreditation, external auditors checked metalweb’s quality systems to ensure continuous improvement and that they comply with the Standard. metalweb previously held the AS9100 Rev C and ISO9001:2008 approvals for its sites in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Oxford however, this latest process extends to its operation in Northern Ireland.

Glen Owen, metalweb’s quality manager, said: “ISO9001 has become the standard requirement across a wide range of industries, however, confirmation of our AS9100 accreditation means that we can satisfy the more stringent requirements of the Aerospace market.

Retaining the accreditation sends out a strong signal to our existing and future customers and we will work hard to ensure we are compliant for many more years to come.”

The accreditation lasts for three years but as it’s geared around continuous improvement, metalweb will have to go through annual interim audits.
