metalweb demonstrates commitment to the North with senior appointment

metalweb has appointed a new regional Sales Manager North to develop the business in the northern part of the country.

Tom Cuddy, who joins from Thyssenkrupp  where he held the position of Key Accounts Director, will report to Managing Director, Bruce Maggs. As metalweb’s new Sales Manager North, Cuddy who will be based at the firm’s Manchester operation, will be responsible for the growth of the business in the North, with his territory stretching from Scotland to Stoke.

Commenting on his appointment, Tom said: “metalweb is a well-known, respected name in the metal supply industry and across many manufacturing sectors. They are a real force to be reckoned with and I’m delighted to be on board. The company is a mature, established business however, I’m keen to further develop its customer base, grow the North order book and strengthen the metalweb brand.”

Bruce Maggs, metalweb’s Managing Director, believes Tom’s appointment is a great coup for the company. He comments: “Appointing Tom demonstrates the importance we place on recruiting the best people in the industry. He brings with him considerable knowledge of the metal distribution and processing market. His 30 years’ experience will stand us in good stead as we develop the metalweb business in the North, whilst also identifying other locations that may be required to support such growth.”

Salford-born Tom (48) who now lives in Bolton is married with two children. He enjoys reading, cycling, going to the gym and is a keen cook.
